I have a day with my best girls and they capture the price tag of my bag and said “can I capture this? my mom and I will take this as a joke”
The contain of this post is not to offend anyone but to show my point of view - or probably others just like me. What my girls did was also not a big deal.
I think we should never judge people who loves high brands or designers’ piece as cocky and spoil person OR implify that their actions is wrong (“you can use the money for charity!” / “it’s not even worth it!” / etc) If I buy stuff to impress you with how much money I got, I wouldn’t wear same shit twice, or picking the prettiest piece and I will just buy the priciest one and show you the price tag. It’s a certain love and connection made between us and the items we’ve been eyed on for some time, seeing, considering, before finally decided to buy it. As quality comes with a price, there are definitely awareness while using designers’ stuff. We become more delicate and make sure that we behave like we deserve high-end stuff (I’m still working on that). There are also power and confidence given from designers’ things. Despite all the reasons, I believe it is just for the love of fashion, the appreciation for the designers and how they manage to be well known around the world for decades or centuries, and the love on quality of something. You can laugh at a person who bought a small clutch for million rupiahs, so what? It’s a personal satisfaction, not a standard for things I love, not a price for my self-worth, not a prove that I have money, not all those laughing people says. My dad always said by being properly dressed and putting on the right thing it will define you at first glance and can lead you anywhere, and let’s face it, people needs first impression and dressing up is the most crucial thing you can do. And I don’t want people to look at me and realize my bag is the same like what exists on facebook-store home page or other online shops, because I appreciate fashion more than that, I don’t buy things I don’t love, I don’t buy things with worse quality than I deserve, so I’m sorry if you think I waste money, some people just don’t get it and it’s ok.
PS. By the way for those who buy replicas, I hate you, and my parents and I and everyone else work their ass off for authentic stuffs, paying taxes etc, and I don’t care if you wanna look higher than you can afford, I just hate you, and I swear it looks obviously fake. Thank you.

you know when someone asks you a general question like “how are you” or jokingly says something like “do you ever even sleep” and there’s that split-second moment where you consider actually telling them things
like whether they’re good or bad things whether they’re sad or happy or anything at all you just
think about telling them
but you don’t
